Walk Leaders Find Their Feet

We have recently been busy training new health walk leaders at the Trinity. Twenty one volunteers, council officers and NHS staff recently learned about Paths for All, walking for health in Scotland as well as how to plan safe and interesting health walks, how to set the right pace and how to look after walkers on our walks. Some of the trainees will be supporting our Trinity walks in Arran, the Garnock Valley and the Three Towns. We also plan to set up a walking programme at Ayrshire Central Hospital and Woodland View.

Paths for All are the Scottish Charity which supports every day walking in Scotland. They provide information, training and support for over 400 health walk projects across the country and these lead over 830 health walks per week. The Trinity Active Travel Hub is proud to be part of this national effort.
