Today we will be embarking on the journey from the town centre down towards the sea. We will be walking through Low Green where sheep once grazed, through the heartland of the Irvine's lost shipping industry to the harbour.
The Annick Water is the longest tributary of the river Irvine joining it just south east of Tarryholm. The walk is on surfaced paths and pavements, although the route may be changed if the weather has recently been wet.
Today's walk will explore the areas of Eglinton Country Park closest to the courtyard and old castle. The walk is on woodland paths and may be rough and uneven.
Irvine is designated a new town but it's built on that foundations of a very old town. Find out about the characters of the past whose ghosts may just still walk abroad. On surfaced paths and pavements throughout.
Join us for a walk to the old racecourse on the Town Moor. This walk is on surfaced paths, pavements and a quiet road.
We will be visiting the smaller of the Tarryholm ponds today. This pond is more hidden away so the wildlife can be elusive.

We will be visiting the woods behind greenwood Academy as well as using a short section of NCN73. This walk is on some surfaced paths and woodland tracks and may be muddy and uneven.
Come for a short walk today taking a circuitous route to Quarry Road before taking a stroll around the cycle loop. The walk is on pavements or paths that are surfaced throughout.
